كان ينتظرني بلهفةٍ أغرقَت وجهه بسحبٍ من الفرح والبهجة، ما إن وصلتُ إليه حتّى وقف من مكانه ليصافحني بدفء، فاستشعرت حرارة قلبه في يدي، وتعالت في داخلي أصوات الذكريات".
اكتشفتُ يومها أنّه لم يكن في الوجود ما هو أجمل من عيني ماجد، واستغربت أن أكون نسيتهما في يومٍ من الأيام، كانت خطوط الشيب قد بدأت تزحف على شعره الأسود الكثيف، فيما راحت لحيته الحفيفة ترسم الكثير من الوقار على ملامحه التي نضجت كثيراً، وإزدادت وسامةً وسحراً".
الحبّ هو الأرض الخصبة للالتباس وسوء الفهم واللغط. في تلك المساحة الرمادية القاتلة، ثمّة قصص تُبتَر قبل أن تتجذّر، أخرى تُحرَم من نهاية لائقة، وثمّة مشاعر تظلّ عالقة عاصية على التصنيف، وعشّاق مخذولون يبتلعون الغصّة عن عجزٍ. في تلك المساحة أيضًا، هناك مسألة التوقيت. وكأن هناك مدّة صلاحية محدّدة لبراعم الحب، فإمّا تزهر في وقتها وإمّا يجور عليها الزمن ولا يعود ماء الأرض قادر على إعادة إحيائها. هذه هي قصة ندى، المرأة التائهة بين عمرين، بين حبّين، بين زمنين، وقصة الزوابع التي تعصف بها، فتمزّقها بين ماضٍ لا يمضي، وحاضرٍ يقاوم جاهدًا إغواء الخيانة.
