يتناول كتاب "أسرار الحمل والولادة" بعض المعلومات والحقائق المتعلقة بالحمل والولادة التي تفيد كل سيدة بل كل أسرة في إلقاء الضوء على كيفية حدوث الحمل والنصائح المهمة التي يجب أن تلم بها المرأة الحامل، حيث إن اهتمامها بصحتها وغذائها ونفسيتها هادئة تعني رعايتها بجنينها.
إن الاهتمام بالطفل يبدأ من بداية الحمل بل ربما يبدأ قبل مرحلة الحمل من حيث معالجة أي أعراض مرضية تصيب الأم سواء مرضية مزمنة وأيضاً امتناعها عن تناول أدوية أو عقاقير أو مسكرات أو مخدرات.
ويتناول الكتاب مشاكل ومتاعب الحمل إلى جانب الصحة النفسية للأم وللجنين وأهمية الابتعاد عن الاضطرابات والتواترات والقلق الذي يؤثر سلباً على الأم وعلى الجنين بدرجة فعالة ثم تأتي اللحظات الحرجة (ساعة الولادة) وكيف تتم بلا آلام وماذا يحدث داخل حجرة الولادة، وعلامات الطفل الطبيعي والمبتسر.
وتطرق الكتاب إلى بعض الظواهر والمشاكل التي تواجه الأسرة والأم على وجه الخصوص وكيفية التعامل معها من مشاكل رفض الطعام وأسبابه والتسنين والبكاء والمشي والكلام والمغص والتبول والتبرز وغيرها من السلوكيات التي تجد الأم نفسها في حيرة من أمرها ولا تجد من يرشدها في معظم الأحيان على كيفية التعامل مع هذه الأمور.
إن الإحاطة بالمعلومات التي تخص كل فترة من فترات الحمل وكل مرحلة من مراحل نمو الطفل يقلل من حدة المشاكل ويجعل الأم المدركة لطبيعة كل مرحلة تكيف نفسها وتستطيع التعايش مع كل تطور بسهولة بدون عصبية أو توتر أو وقوع في أخطاء غير مقصودة قد تؤثر في نفسيتها وشخصية طفلها فيما بعد.
وأخيراً جاء الضوء لإلقاء الضوء على مشكلة العقم وتحديد أسبابها ودور كل من الزوج والزوجة في العقم وطرق العلاج لتحقيق أمل كل زوجين في الحصول على طفل هو ثمرة الحياة بإذن الله تعالى.
