هذا الكتاب يأتي ضمن سلسلة: «من قاموس الأديان» التي ستسهم بتعريف القارئ العربي الكريم بعقائد وشرائع الشعوب التي يتعاطى معها، وهذا أمر مفيد للدعاة ولإدارة المصالح وللعلاقات بين الدول والشعوب. الهند دولة آسيوية نامية ومخزونها من الثروة كبير وفي تطور، وبشكل خاص الثروة البشرية، وهي عماد أية عملية إنمائية في مختلف الميادين. والهند على تماس مباشر مع العرب وسواهم من شعوب آسيا والعالم الثالث، وبالنسبة للمسلمين خصوصاً العلاقة أكثر تعقيداً، فالهند يعيش فيها ما يقارب 150 مليون مسلم وتجاوز باكستان المسلمة التي انفصلت عنها سياسياً عام 1947. ويشهد مجتمع الهند بين الحين والآخر، مشكلة تتخذ طابع العنف غالباً وطابعها ديني، وهذا أمر يحتاج الإنسان بسببه، أن يطَّلع على معتقدات أهل البلد وشرائعهم كي يتمكن من فهم التكوين العقدي والثقافي لهذا المجتمع، وبالتالي كي يتمكن من التعاطي معه بشكل مؤثر. والعمل الذي بين أيدينا يعرفنا بقدر معين بديانات أهل الهند الوضعية: الهندوسية - البوذية - السيخية، وهو يأتي ضمن سلسلة: "من قاموس الأديان" التي تساهم بتعريف القارئ العربي بعقائد وشرائع الشعوب التي يتعاطى معها، وهذا أمر مفيد للدعاة ولإدارة المصالح وللعلاقات بين الدول والشعوب.
