كما وأضاف المحقق إلى هذا الكتاب آراء مؤلفين آخرين في هذا الموضوع أمثال: ابن عبدون الأشبيلي من كتابه "عمدة الطب في معرفة النبات" وأبي القاسم الغساني من كتابه "حديقة الأزهار في ماهية العشب والعقار". وإيثاراً من المؤلف في الوضوح والإيجاز وتجنباً للركاكة أو التكرار ومراعاة لذوق القارئ لجأ إلى اختصار الأقوال وتعديل بعضها بما يتناسب وفحوى القول.
