لست أدري كيف اكتب عن الأستاذ أنيس منصور، دون أن أتعرض لقائل يقول: إنه صديق أو تلميذ يجل أستاذه؟ وذلك لأني لا أجد لي حيلة- إذا أردت أن أكون صادقًا- سوى أن أبدي إعجابي وتقديري لهذا الكاتب الأديب الحساس، معتقدًا أن أدب الأستاذ أنيس منصور، وإن ظفر بالشهرة التي هو جدير بها، لم يظفر بعد بالدراسة التي هو حقيق بها. فلأنيس منصور طريقة في التفكير وطرقة في التعبير لا يخطئها قارئ منذ السطر الأول، فماذا عسى أن تكون خصائصها المميزة؟ وأحسب أنني قرأت كل ما كتب أنيس منصور سواء في كتاب أو انتثر في مقالات. وأنيس صاحب أسلوب أعتبره من أذكى الأساليب العربية، استطاع به أن يشد قارئه من رموش عينيه، لتفرده بأسلوب خاص تلمع فيه الومضات التي تدل على الذكاء الحاد، وعلى الثقافة العريضة في وقت معًا، حيث يمتاز باطلاعه الواسع الذي يصل مرتبة الإذهال، ثم هو يمتاز بشيء أهم من ذلك، فهو قادر على ان يستحضر ما حصله عندما يكتب بصورة لا أحسب أنها تتوفر إلا لقلة نادرة من الكتاب، وربما كنت ظالمًا لأنيس بهذه الجملة الأخيرة.
