هذا كتاب عملي بحت، لا شأن له بالناحية النظرية، يتناول موضوع إصلاح المحركات الكهربائية وإعادة لفها، ويمكن أن يفهمه ويستفيد به من كانت معرفتهم بقواعد الهندسة الكهربائية ضئيلة، هذا وإن احتواء هذا الكتاب في جزئه العملي على أكثر من 900 رسم توضيحي، لكفيل بأن يجعل منه مرشداً في أثناء العمل، ذا نفع كبير، ليس للطلبة فحسب، دائماً لعامل الإصلاح أيضاً وهو على نضد عمله، كما أن ذلك سوف يساعد الطالب على فهم الموضوعات بوضوح تام. ولما كانت جدارة العامل تظهر انطلاقاً من سرعة في كشف العطل فقد اعتنى الكتاب بتبيان أحسن وأسرع الطرق في الاختبار والتصلح، بذلك سوف يكون الملخص المسمى "تحديد الخلل وإصلاحه" الذي يأتي في آخر كل باب إذا نفع خاص من هذه الناحية، والكتاب يعالج أيضاً كلاً من موضوعي محركات التيار المتردد، ومحركات التيار المستمر، بإتقان، كما يعطي عناية كبيرة لتوصيلات ومتاعب المنظمات. ولما كان استعمال آلات السينكرو، وتنظيم التشغيل بالأجهزة الإلكترونية قد ازداد شيوعاً عن ذي قبل، فقد اشتمل الكتاب على مقدمة في هذين الموضوعين.
