كذلك تبرز المسكوكات الاسلامية من حيث كونها وثائق صحيحة وسليمة لا تقبل الخطأ ولا يمكن لأي حد الطعن أو التشكيك فيها ولا سيما تلك النقود الرسمية التي كانت تضرب في دور الضرب التابعة للدولة العربية الاسلامية.
وقد حظيت دراسة المسكوكات الإسلامية بعناية فائقة من الباحثين المسلمين فضلاً عن الباحثين المستشرقين والذين عدوا دراسة المسكوكات تندرج ضمن العلم المعروف بعلم (النيمات) وقد توصل المستشرقون إلى نتائج مهمة عبر دراستهم للمسكوكات الإسلامية ولعل أشهر هؤلاء المختصين في هذا المجال عالم النيمات الأمريكي جورج. س. مايلز.
وعلى الرغم من وجود الكثير من الدراسات والبحوث في مجال دراسة المسكوكات الإسلامية وإن من الإنصاف القول أن هذه الدراسات قد أحاطت بتفاصيل المسكوكات بيد أننا وجدنا من المناسب أن ندلي بدلونا في هذا المضمار وذلك عن طريق دراسة خاصة ومستفيضة.
