همسات رواية من أدب الرعب الممتزج بالخيال العلمى، فى إطار محلى، تتناول أسطورة قديمة عن جزء من الجنس البشرى، نزح إلى كوكب آخر حدث له تحولات عنيفة، ويبحث عن العودة لكوكبه الأصلى، يتصدى له نسل بشرى معمر، عبر فجوات كونية متعددة تقع إحداها فى عمارة الإسكندرية الشهيرة بسكن الجن لها، والأخرى فى قصر البارون الأسطورى، وتقص القصة نسرين رؤوف فتاة حالمة وجدت نفسها فى قلب أحداث مروعها يتبعها سفاح قاتل، لتكتشف حقيقة أصلها الغامض . ويأتى على غلاف الكتاب نسرين رؤوف التى كانت أقصى أحلامها، أن تقابل فارس الأحلام الوسيم، وتنجب له نصف دستة من الأطفال، تجلس الآن فى غرفة غريبة عنها فى مكان مجهول، حولها حراسة من نسل بشرى معمر، يخوضون فى الوقت الراهن حرباً كونية ضروساً، مع بشر متحولين يسكنون كوكباً أخر ؛ تقودهم ملكة شريرة تمتهن السحر الأسود وفنونه، وهى وأعوانها يعبرون إلى الأرض عن طريق ثغرات سرية بين الكوكبين تمثل نقاط تماس كونية تم صنعها، بعلوم سحرية فائقة منذ آلاف السنين ".
