فأقدم هذا الكتاب (تحليل الدوائر الكهربائية) ليساعد على فهم المبادئ الأساسية لفهم عمل الدوائر الكهربائية وطرق تحليلها وحساب الكميات المرتبطة بها، وقد احتوى على عدد جيد من الأمثلة المتنوعة في كافة المواضيع المطروحة والتي تندرج من السهل إلى الصعب لتغطي أكبر قدر ممكن من الأفكار الممكنة.
كما سعيت إلى إدراج عدد من الأسئلة في نهاية كل وحدة مع بعض الأجوبة النهائية لتكون إختياراً ذاتياً للطالب ليقيّم مدى قدرته على تحليل الدوائر وفق الطرق والتقنيات الواردة في الوحدة.
وتقسّم مادة الكتاب بشكل أساسي إلى ثلاث خطوط عريضة، فالقسم الأول منه يتناول دوائر التيار المباشر DC، والقسم الثاني يتناول دوائر التيار المتناوب أحادي الطور AC، وجاء القسم الثالث مقدمة لدوائر التيار المتناوب ثلاثي الأطوار.
