لذلك، يسعى المؤلف إلى تأكيد أن قبيلة البوشعبان هم أولاد (شعبان بن معروف بن عبيد بن الأمير جبر الزبيدي)، وتبدأ خطة بحث في هذه الموسوعة تبدأ من تاريخ زبيد قبل الإسلام إلى دخولهم الإسلام وإلى رحيلهم إلى منطقة نجد ومن نجد إلى العراق، وقسم منهم رحل إلى الشمال العراقي ومنهم إلى سوريا كقبائل الجبور منهم من بقي في العراق ومنهم في سوريا والعكيدات منهم في العراق ومنهم في سوريا، والدليم أكثرهم في العراق وقليل منهم في سوريا والبوشعبان أكثرهم في سوريا وقليل منهم في العراق والهوادجة الزبيدية في الجولان والسلوط في درعا واللجاة والشنابلة في السويداء، وقبيلة الشمالنة في فلسطين وقبيلة السواعد وتفرعاتهم أغلبهم في العراق ومنهم في فلسطين وقبائل أخرى، وقصة الأخوين الأميرين جبر وجبرين، وقصة الحنيا (الناقة الجرباء)، وإنتقال القبائل الزبيدية من نجد إلى العراق وسوريا، مروراً بموقعة المرة وقصيدة السلطان جبر وابنه السلطان محمد، بالإضافة إلى قصائد بنات الأمير جبرين موزة وسعبر، مروراً بحياة فارس زبيد الفارس الشاعر عمرو بن معدي كرب الزبيدي صاحب الصمصامة وصولاً إلى قبيلة "البوشعبان" وأفخاذها وتفرعاتها...
مروراً بحياة شعبان بن معروف بن عبيد ابن الأمير جبر الزبيدي الشاعر والفارس المعروف بشجاعته ووقائعه المشهودة.
