يعيش العالم اليوم في مخاض عسير غامض النتائج ،تلفه مصائب جمة حلولها مبهمة وتكاد أن تكون بلا حلول ،بعد أن اختلت الموازين وانعدمت العدالة سواء في توزيع الثروات أو احترام إرادة الشعوب ،وبعد أن احتكرت الدول الغاشمة لنفسها الحرية والديمقراطية ومنعتها عن الشعوب الأخرى،وكأن حال لسان الدول المتقدمة يقول لا غيرنا يستحق الحياة! وبالتالي سادت الفوضى التي نراها اليوم وانتشر الإرهاب وازدادت الجريمة،وهذه الظواهر إنما تبرز حينما يشعر مجتمع ما أو الفرد أن لا عدالة على سطح الأرض ،وحينما تُسلب الحقوق وتهان الكرامة وتسرق الثروات ويقتل كل من يطالب بهذه الحقوق. ترى ما درجة الجهل الذي وصلنا إليه ؟ وما سماته؟ وما اختلافه عن عصور سابقة جاهلة؟وما انعكاساته على البشرية؟ والى أي درجة يشكل جريمة على الآخرين؟وما صفات الجرم لكل تصرف جاهل ينتج عنه؟ وما أنواع الجرائم ؟وما أنواع التخلف الذي يولد جرائم جديدة؟ وما العلاقة بين الجهل والجريمة والإرهاب ؟هذه التساؤلات وغيرها دفعتنا للخوض في هذا الموضوع المعقد والشائك محاولين أن نوضح ما غمض منه والكشف عن ما خبئ فيه من عادات وتقاليد وقيم مع إمكانية الإرشاد إلى إمكانية تجنب أضراره وسيئاته على البشرية وبخاصة من هم بعيدين عن صناعته، وبقدر ما نحصل عليه من معلومات وبيانات تساعدنا في ذلك محاولين جهد الإمكان سبر أغوار عوالق الجهل والجريمة والإرهاب وتوزيعها على مناطق العالم ومركزين بشكل كبير على البلدان العربية قدر تعلق الأمر بأمتنا طالبين من العزيز القوي أن يمدنا بعون منه ورحمة لخدمة جيل يكاد أن يضيع في زحمة الشعارات الزائفة .
