هذه المطبوعة تتضمن دروسا في وحدة علم الأجنة عند الإنسان الخاصة بطلبة السنة الأولى بيولوجيا تعرض هذه المطبوعة باختصار وبأسلوب مبسط مختلف المراحل التي يتضمنها برنامج وحدة علم الأجنة، وهي تنقسم إلى ثلاثة أجزاء بحيث يهتم كل جزء منها بمرحلة هامة من مراحل التطور الجنيني عند الإنسان إلى غاية الأسبوع الرابع. في الجزء الأول من هده المطبوعة تم التطرق إلى دراسة المرحلة ما قبل الجنينية وهي تشمل دراسة الأعضاء التناسلية عند الرجل والمرأة وتشكل الخلايا الجنسية . في الجزء الثاني تمت دراسة الالقاح بصفة دقيقة حيث شرحت آليات اتحاد الخليتين الجنسيتين الذكرية والأنثوية لإعطاء البيضة الملقحة والتي تعتبر نقطة انطلاق تطور الجنين. أما في الجزء الثالث فقد درست المرحلة الأولى من مرحلة تشكل الجنين بمختلف جوانبها والتي تنتهي في الأسبوع الرابع من التطور الجنيني.
