مميزات الكتاب عقد الزواج المدني بين نضال درويش وخلود سكّرية على أساس هذه الدراسة. صمّم حملة «شطب الإشارة إلى الطائفة في سجلاّت النفوس»، وهي الحملة التي أدّت إلى الإقرار بحقّ اللبناني بأنْ يكون مواطناً قانوناً لا ابن طائفة في المجال العامّ. نبذة عقد الزواج المدنيّ على الأراضي اللبنانيّة؟ كان هذا في 2 تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر 2012، وللمرّة الأولى في تاريخ لبنان، بين خلود سكّريّه ونضال درويش، بتوثيق الكاتب بالعدل، وعلى أساس هذه الدراسة. فعلى العكس من التصوّر الشائع، يبيّن البحث القانوني والتاريخيّ أنّ القانون اللبناني العادي الذي يُنظّم أحوال اللبنانيّين الشخصيّة، ينصّ على الحقّ بالزواج المدنيّ، وعلى وجوب الخضوع للقانون المدنيّ، دون غيره، في عقد الزواج على الأراضي اللبنانيّة، بالنسبة إلى من لا ينتمي إداريّاً إلى طائفة من الطوائف «التاريخيّة». ما القانون المدنيّ في هذه الحالة؟ ومن هو المرجع المختصّ؟
