ينحُو هذا الكِتاب الجَماعي بمشاركةِ عددٍ مِنَ الكتّاب والشّعراء والمفكّرين العرب والأوروبيين إلى تطويرِ أسئلة وأفكار فرضَها وضعٌ إنسانيّ كارثيّ، نجمَ عن انتشار وباءٍ فتّاك، تزامَنَ ظهورُه مع انهيار القِيَم الكبرى في عالم اليوم. أسئلةٌ، تحاول الانطلاقَ من أرضيةٍ مُشترَكة. وأفكارٌ، تجرّب أن تتجاوزَ حاجزَ النَّقد المُتَقَوْقِع على ذاتِه؛ بخلقِ حوارٍ فكريٍّ/ أخلاقيٍّ عميق بين مُثقَّفينَ عرب وأوروبيِّين يستطلعون ما ستؤولُ إليه هذه اللَّحظة الإنسانية الكئيبَة، منتقدينَ الوضع الناجم عن السِّياسات النّيُوليبراليَّة والجشع الرأسمالي، وكذا أنظمة الدّول الشّمولية والطّغيان المشرقيّ والآسيويّ. «أجراس الوباء»، هو محاولةٌ، لن تتوقَّف عندَ هذا الحدِّ، لكونها تتضمَّن دعوة إلى ابتكارِ صيَغ جديدة ومعاصرة لتَواصُل فكريٍّ مُتعدِّد المَشارِب والمَرجِعيات، إيمانًا بأنَّ التّغيير الحقيقيّ في المسار البشري، لا يأتي إلَّا من دعاة التَّغيير الإنسانيِّين في العالم. كما أنَّ إصلاح العَطَبْ الذي وَضعَ إنسان العصر في أضيَقِ زاويةٍ، لا يتحقَّق إلَّا بتحويلِ المأساةِ إلى مجالٍ حيَويٍّ وفعَّال لتفكيرٍ تعدُّدي يعبّر عن حيوية النخب المُثقَّفة ومسؤولياتها بإزاء مجتمعاتها، والكتاب يَطرحُ عليها سؤال: كيف يُفكِّر المُفكِّرون بينما البشرية حبيسة البيوت، ووراء أقنعة كوفيد. الناشر
