يتناول الكتاب فصولًا مجهولة من العلاقات التاريخية بين ألبانيا ومصر، والظروف التي أدت إلى توافد الألبان إلى المحروسة والدور المتزايد لألبان مصر بحكم إسهامهم الملحوظ في الحياة السياسية والثقافية الألبانية، وما قاموا به في إنشاء ألبانيا المستقلة. كما يكشف عن العديد من الصفحات المطوية في تاريخنا وكيف أن الأمير فؤاد كان مرشحًا لتولي عرش ألبانيا قبل أن يصبح ملكًا على مصر، وصولًا إلى سنوات إقامة أحمد زوغو ملك ألبانيا فى مصر بدعوة من الملك فاروق تزامنًا مع انطلاق الحرب الباردة ليستعرض كيف انطلقت "العمليات الخاصة" بتنسيق من الملك زوغو وأجهزة غربية لإسقاط النظام الشيوعي في ألبانيا، كاشفًا عن فصل مثير من العلاقات الألبانية المصرية.
