Book Description
يتناول الكتاب قصة نشأة هجرة / مستوطنة “الغطغط”، التي تُعد الهجرة الثانية في التأسيس بعد الأرطاوية، ضمن مشروع الملك عبد العزيز لتوطين البادية.
تكتسب هجرة الغطغط أهميتها كونها شكّلت قوة دينية وعسكرية، بعد أن استقرت فيها قبيلة عتيبة وغيرها، في عام 1331هـ / 1912م، لذلك تناولت الباحثة أسباب تأسيس الغطغط، وكيفية إدارتها وسكانها ونمط الحياة فيها، اجتماعيًا ودينيًا وعسكريًا، ومن ثم الدَّور البارز لهذه الهجرة في تأسيس المملكة العربية السعودية.
عرضت الباحثة لأسباب تراجع دور الغطغط قبل معركة السبلة الشهيرة 1347هـ / 1929م، ومن ثمّ اضمحلالها وهدم جزء كبير من منازل سكانها.
