قاسم بن خلف الرويس باحث ومؤرخ سعودي مهتم بالأدب الشعبي وبتاريخ المملكة العربية السعودية،، من مواليد عام 1389هـ في اليمامة بمحافظة الخرج، نشر إنتاجه في عدد من الصحف والمجلات العربية أبرزها جريدة الرياض السعودية، وله العديد من المحاضرات والإصدارات التي تتنوع بين التاريخ والنقد والسيرة والنقد الأدبي، وله جهود في تحقيق المخطوطات التي تتعلق بتراث الجزيرة العربية.
نشأته وتعليمه
ولد عام 1389هـ-1969م في اليمامة بمحافظة الخرج. وهو حاصل على بكالوريس التربية في الدراسات الإسلامية - كلية التربية - جامعة الملك سعود بالرياض عام 1993م.
العمل
1994-2016م: عمل في وزارة التعليم معلماً ومرشداً ثم مُشرفاً تربوياً.
2013- 2015م: كُلف بالعمل في دارة الملك عبد العزيز.
2001 -2016م: كاتب أسبوعي في صحيفة الرياض السعودية.

ليس عنوانًا للكتاب بل سؤال يبحث عن إجابة، وبقدر ما تكون إجابة السؤال تعبيرًا عن مضمون الكتاب الذي طرح هذا السؤال في ثناياه أكثر من مرة من خلال العدسة الصحفية التي قيّدت أخبار الكويت وطبعتها في الأذهان قبل انفلاتها من الذاكرة؛ لتظل صفحاتها شاهدًا على التاريخ في مرحلة غابت فيها شمس الصحافة عن الخليج العربي.
بين يدي هذا الكتاب يجد الباحث في تاريخ الخليج عمومًا وفي تاريخ الكويت خصوصًا ما يساعده في سد بعض الثغرات أو تحليل بعض الحوادث أو الاستدلال على بعض الأحوال أو فتح آفاق لأبحاث ودراسات مفيدة؛ ففيه مواد تاريخية أشبه ما تكون بسجل لحظي يتضمن أخبار وإشارات ومواقف ولمحات عن بعض الأمور الجارية خلال الفترة 1925-1931م. قد تحتاج مزيد من التحقيق والتدقيق ولكنها تظل مصدرًا خصبًا لا ينبغي للباحث في تلك الفترة أن يتجاوزه إذا أراد معرفة شيئًا من إجابة السؤال :ماذا في الكويت؟
