إن ما يجعل الحياة لحظة خارقة، ومبهرة، واستثنائية هو وعي كارثة الغياب، والفقدان الثاوي في زمنية الإنسان، والمتربص له بالموت، ولوعته، وبما سيؤول إليه من إنطفاء؛ ولهذا كان النضال من أجل الحب والحياة وجهاً من أوجه انتزاع المعنى الذي لا يتحقق إلا بوعي قيمة الحياة، وهذا التحقق للمعنى يعني حضور ما أمكن انتزاعه من الغياب الكامن في النص المكتوب، أو نص الحياة... من أجل ذلك عمدت التجربة الحازمية إلى استنطاق الظاهرة، والكشف عن أبعادها العميقة عبر جدل الثنائية الضدية، ومرآوية المفارقة ما بين الجلي، والخفي، والجسدي، والروحي، وما بين الواقعي، والخيالي، والرمزي... سعياً وراء الغائب، والمنسي، والمحروم، والمقصي، والمقهور... ليكتسب النص الحازمي – من خلال التجليات الجمالية – قوته، وشاعريته، وخلوده. في هذا العمل يقرأ علي حافظ كريري التجليات الفنية لظاهرة الغياب عند الشاعر علي الحازمي تلك التي حققت لها الشعرية العالية، وهي: لغة السؤال، والاستفهام – أسلوب النداء – أفعال الماضي، والمستقبل – السردية – ضمائر البعد، والغيبة – بنية التكرار – تقنية الحذف – اللغة المكثفة = الرمز، التناص، الانزياح، التضاد، المفارقة، الصور المبتكرة التي منحت المعنى المعجمي معانٍ جديدة، وأبعاداً دلالية مفتوحة. يقدم الكتاب أيضاً قراءات نقدية لأعمال علي الحازمي قدمها أدباء ونقاد تناولوا المنجز الشعري لعلي الحازمي يتخللها عرض ونقاش لكل مجموعة شعرية؛ لذلك توزعت مادة الكتاب على عنوانين رئيسين: (أولاً/ آفاق الغياب النص الموازي) ويضم: 1- النظرية، 2- التطبيق (المنجز الشعري)، 3- بوابة الجسد، 4- خسران، 5- الغزالة تشرب صورتها، 6- مطمئناً على الحافة.
