"الآن، بعد كل هذا وذاك قررتُ أن أجمع تلك الرسائل معاً لعلّها في يوم ما تدور حول هذا العالم الواسع وتصلُ إليك ويكون بينك وبين مشاعري موعُد لقاء، على أمل كبير أن لا تتجاهل هذه الرسائل مرة أخرى". على الرغم من وجود عنصر الحكاية في الأثر الأدبي لنورة الدعجاني "رسائل لم تصل بعد.."؛ فإن الخطاب المستخدم لا يتخذ معنى الرواية، وفي المقابل، فإن استخدام تقنية الرسالة في معظم نصوصه لا يصنّفه في خانة الرسائل، فهو في منزلة بين المنزلتين، حيث الحكاية فيه صيغت بتقنية الرسالة التي تقوم على جدلية المتكلم/ المخاطب، والمتكلم هو الكاتبة/ الراوي الحاضر في شكل مباشر في النص، والمخاطب هو الرجل الطرف الآخر في الحكاية، والحاضر في شكل غير مباشر في الحكاية، ما يجعل من النص رسالة طويلة متعددة الأجزاء، موجهة إلى شخص محدد غائب، ومن خلالها نقف على حالة حبّ خاصة فيها معاناة (المرأة) في حالة الفراق، وعلى موقف المرسل إليه (الرجل) حتى وإن لم تصله الرسائل بعد. تقول الروائية: "لأجلك يا ذاك البعيد بالمسافة القريبُ من قلبي.. استعنتُ بنورة لتكون طيراً مرسال بيننا.. إليك يا من تلذذتُ بـ جراحي كل هذه الرسائل.. التي جعلت مني امرأة لم تعد تُبالي لأمرك.. لم يعد قلبي يرتجفُ عند ذكر اسمك.. وقعت على كل رسالة بـ دم من قلبي.. والآن أنا أخبركم جميعاً بنفسي.. هذا الرجل لم يعد يعني لي شيء".
