".. وعادة ما يستغل الحماس والعاطفة الدينية عند الناس، وخاصة من شريحة الشباب الطيبين، لقذفهم في أتون المواجهة ضد هذه الفكرة أو تلك، ولمحاربة هذه الشخصية أو تلك الجهة، على أساس الدفاع عن العقيدة والمذهب، والانتصار لهذه المرجعية او هذا التوجه.
ليس من الخطأ ان يقتنع الانسان برأي، أو ينتمي إلى مدرسة، أو يؤمن بقيادة، أو يثق بمرجعية، كما ان من حقه ان يعبر عن رأيه، وأن ينتصر لتوجهه، وأن يبشر بأفكاره، لكن الخطأ هو احتكار هذا الحق لنفسه وإنكاره ذلك على الاخرين.
إننا في ساحتنا الدينية بحاجة الى الاعتراف بحق الاختلاف، وتعزيز حرية الرأي، ونشر ثقافة التسامح وقبول الاخر. ويجب ان نرفع الصوت عالياً ضد الارهاب والقمع الفكري، ومحاولات الهيمنة، وفرض الوصاية على عقول الناس وأفكارهم، باسم العقيدة والدين.
والصفحات الماثلة بين يديّ القارئ هي دعوة للتضامن مع حرية الرأي، ولترشيد الحراك الفكري والثقافي في الوسط الديني، ليكون في إطار الاختلاف المشروع، الذي يثري المعرفة، ويضيء الطريق إلى الحق والصواب، بعيداً عن أساليب البغي والعدوان."
