"يا نهر الأحلام توقف أنزلني في أرض الواقع، لا تبقي في القلب الماضي، إصعد وارمح نحو الساطع، سيان الأيام تغني، أو تستجدي لست أمانع، أطفالي في القلب وعندي، المأوى والكون الواسع، يا بحر الأحلام أعاني، من أشواك البعد الشاسع، يا صوت الآمالي أعني إرحل، سافر، لست براجع، اذهب وأسلك درباً يهوي، من أعطاف الجفن الدامع، يكفيني أمضي وأحاكي، أحلاماً من غير مسامع، يا صبح الأوهام تبدل، يا عصر الأحلام الشائع، يا ليل الأصداء ترجل، وليصحبني الفجر النافع، يا دنيا أهديك بذوري، في مهد الأزهار الرائع، فانفضي عن ليلك هيا، في لون ألأفكار الفاقع، يا أولادي يا أحبابي، إني أسعى، حبي جائع، يا نهر الأحلام تدفق، وتحول عني لأتابع، يا وقت الأسحار تمهل، واستبدل حلماً بوقائع".
