في هذه المجموعة الشعرية الرائعة قصائد مستوحاة من ذاتية شاعر مفعم بالإحساس والوجدان، عَبر بها عما يختلج في داخله من انفعالات وأحاسيس صامتة، حيث وضع ثلاثة قصائد بعنوان حياة صامتة يخاطب فيها أباه ويقول: "ما الذي حدث لوجهك، يا أبي؟ لست بميّت، لكن كأنه تحت الماء. جلدك لا لونَ له وطافٍ".
تحتوي هذه المجموعة أيضاً على ثلاثة قصائد معنونة (هيلدجارد) مستوحاة من شخص الراهبة الألمانية بندكتينا هيلدجارد فون بينجون (1098 – 1179)، التي كانت متصوفة وهي إحدى شخصيات العصر الوسيط الكبيرة.
"هِيلدَجارد، 1113 أنها تحلمُ أن تمسك بيدها على الشمس. اللحم يحمّر كالجمرِ. في الأعماق تشعرُ برقصة ظلال اليد الضامرة خلف حجاب الدمِ المحتقِن".
