عبده قيصر وازن لبناني الجنسية.
ولد عام 1957 في الدكوانة - بيروت.
أنهى دروسه الثانوية في معهد الرسل بجونيه, ودروسه الجامعية في جامعة القديس يوسف, وحصل على دورة في جامعة فال دو مارن-باريس-كريتاي 80-1985.
يعمل في الصحافة الثقافية منذ 1979 , ويتابع الحياة الثقافية والأدبية كناقد.

يعود الشاعر والناقد الأدبي المعروف "عبده وازن" إلى قراءة بكتاب جديد يجمع بين دفتيه شعراء من العالم، بعضهم ينتمي إلى عهود متقادمة وبعضهم إلى عصرنا الراهن لكلّ منهم رؤيته الشعرية وعالمه الخاص. يقول الكاتب: "لم يخطر في بالي يوماً أن أجمع ما كتبت عن شعراء من العالم في كتاب. لكن الاحتفال بـ "بيروت عاصمة عالمية للكتاب للسنة 2009" حرّضني على توجيه تحية إلى هذه المدينة الموسومة بمآسيها كما بأفراحها، بحروبها كما بسلامها، بثقافتها وانفتاحها وحريتها. وكان أن ارتأيت جمع هذه النصوص أو المقالات التي تناولت فيها شعراء عالميين وبعض المختارات من أشعارهم ترجمتُها عن الفرنسية بغية تقديم نماذج منها للقارئ العربي وهي ترجمات موقتة لكونها تمّت عن لغة وسيطة". يحتوي هذا الكتاب على ما يزيد عن خمسة وثلاثون نصاً من الأدب الشعري ومختارات من أشعار أدباء عالميين، بعضه قديم والآخر حديث. نذكر منهم: هل وجد هوميروس حقاً؟ سافو الإغريقية شاعرة الفتنة الملتبسة. حافظ الشيرازي "ترجمان الأسرار". ليوباردي شاعر التشاؤم الخلاق. "مدائح" فردريك نيتشه. بوشكين شاعر "الروح" الروسية. آنا أخماتوفا شاعرة التراجيديا الروسية. ناظم حكمت "أمميّ" الشعر التركي. الشاعر الألماني ريلكه بالعربية. بابلو نيرودا شاعر الغناء الملحمي. أليخاندرا بيزارنيك: الشاعرة الأرجنتينية المنتحرة بكأس فارغة. لوكينات باتاشاريا: أرض اللقاء بين حكمة الهند وحداثة الغرب. الشعر اليوناني الجديد يحاور ظلال الماضي. أزهار الشعر الفارسي. "شعراء من العالم" شهادة على اجتهاد أديب وشاعر يجدد في عمله دائماً ويأتي جديده كثيفاً ونوعياً في آن معاً.
