يضم الديوان سبعون قصيدة تراوحت بين الشعر الموزون، والعصري المُحدث. في نصوص وضع فيها الشاعر كل خبراته المعرفية والجمالية والإبداعية لتخرج إلى النور في كتاب يحمل بين دفتيه معانٍ إنسانية تسمو فوق واقعنا المتعب المثقل بالهموم والأحزان، هي قصائد تنتمي إلى تجربة شاعرنا في هذه الحياة ودائماً من منطلق إنساني يتطلع صوب الحرية والعدالة والأمن؛ يكتبها بقلم مشحون بالقلق والخوف على إنسان العصر، والفراغ الروحي والفكري الذي وسم به، بمفردات ميزت أعمال القريني تراوحت بين المنظور واللامنظور، وبين الواقعية والحلم، وبين الإنسان وبين الله. تشكل بمجموعها رؤى شاعر مثقف مجدد استطاع بعنفوان الشعر التعبير عن معانٍ سامية ودالة أهمها الحب والصدق والحق وكذا الحرية، فأغنى تجربته الشعرية الرائدة في المشهد الثقافي المعاصر. يقول في قصيدة بعنوان [الحياة]. "غريبة هذي الحياة/مرَّةً تأتي كما نريدها،/ ومرة أخرى نراها خيط شمع - ناحِلاً/ ينأى بنا إلى مدىً آخر!/ حبيبتي إذا أتى الرفاق/ قولي لهم: سافر/ وذاب في كأسٍ في العناقْ/.../ وعقله هاجر!".
