عبر لغة الضاد، يشجو نور الدين المدور ترنيماته شعراً، لنرحل معه من أرض كنعان إلى أرض اليونان، إلى أسطورة قديمة قدم أساطير التاريخ. أبطالها ثلاثة "أجنور وأوروب وقدموس" لكلٍّ منهم حكايته في هذا الشرق. فلنستمع إلى ما يقول كاتبها:
يقول الشاعر نور الدين المدور:
"وبعد فالسؤال الآن هو عما دعاني إلى إعداد هذا الكتاب وعنوانه "أخت قدموس في لغة الضاد":
في الحقيقة إن هذا العنوان هو لمنظومة من المطولات صنعتها شعراً عمودياً التزم الإيقاع الموسيقي وحدة وزن وقافية، وقد كان ذلك بفعل تأملات وأفكار أوحتها حقائق كشفت أساطير، وأساطير كشفت حقائق، فلا غرو من أن تأتي في المقدمة أسطورة "أجنور وأوروب وقدموس" أبطال قصة الرحلة التي قامت بها أبجدية الشرق عابرة بحاراً وآفاقاً إلى أقطار الغرب...".
ولما كان شاعرنا قد أعجب أشد الإعجاب بقدموس وبالصبية أوروب، ولما كان مفرطاً في حبه للضاد، جاء هذا الكتاب بمثابة ملحمة شعرية تقول لنا إن الفينيقيين جابوا العالم وغرزوا فيه حضارتهم عبر حروفه المشعة لتبقى منارة ليس للعرب فحسب، بل للعالم أجمع.
"أخت قدموس في لغة الضاد" قصيدة طويلة تتألف من ثلاثماية وسبعة عشر بيتاً شعرياً، تحمل بين طياتها نسائم التاريخ، وحكايات من رحلوا... يقول الشاعر في مستهل القصيدة: أخت "قدموس" ما علمت شبيهاً / بأبٍ بنته كبنتِ أبيها... غادةٌ، باسمها "أوربا" تسمتُ / وانتمت يوم أن دعا داعيها... وأخوها، سل "الألفباء" عنه / بخشوع تُجبك، فهو بنيها... قمران استمدت الأرض نورا / منهما فانجلى به داجيها (...)".
