في جديدها الشعري "حفلة أرق" تنزع عائشة النويمي إلى تأسيس ثيمة الحلم في النص لتطرز به كينونتها كشاعرة في مشهد شعري يتضايف فيه الحلم والوعي باللاوعي والتضاد الروحي بأنسنة الخلائق أو الكائنات والأشياء، واصطياد اللحظات الشعرية الحرجة، تلك اللحظات التي ترتعش وسط خشونة الزمن ورهبة الأمكنة، فالحلم الذي يستدرج الشاعرة هو نمط من الأحلام الكيانية، هو التقصي عن كينونة هاربة من عالم الأنا، هو الانوجاد في الذات الكلية والذي يقيها من فساد الحياة وزيفها، وبالتالي هو الشعر في اضطرابها وقلقها الأزلي؛ فبالحلم تؤسس مملكة الشعر والفكر. نقرأ لها قصيدة بعنوان [هدهده] تقول فيها:
"غادرَ الليلُ منامي،/ واختفى سِرُّ الظلامِ،/ أفشتِ الأحلامُ/ لونَ الوقتِ/ والصبحَ الهلامي،/ قلتُ للنجمات:/ ظَلي../ هدهدي قلبي/ وصَلي../ ادخلي محرابَ نومي/ اذبَحي غِربانَ يومي/ واتركي زوجَ الحمامِ/ قالتِ النجمات:/ نامي../ البسي ثوبَ السلامِ/ اصعدي الآن،/ رويداً../ في تراتيل الأنامِ،/ سدرةٌ أنت فطولي../ عانقي وجهَ الغمامِ/ رددي نبضي../ أعيدي/ كلما غبتُ كلامي،/ وأفيقي،/ سوف يأتي،/ حينها بدرُ التمامِ". بهذا الانعتاق الروحي وهذا الحضور تجهد الشاعرة أكثر في إعادة صورة المجهول الكوني والميتافيزيقي في هزيمة الروح من المجهول إلى الحلم...
يضم الديوان قصائد متنوعة تراوحت بين الشعر العربي الحديث والشعر الموزون والمقفى جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "يا سيد الأوراق"، "تسع عجاف"، "دروب"، "حفلة أرق"، "سفح الوقت"، "بين بُعد واحتضار"، "جئتُ وحدي"، "بالوهم نثمل"، "بعد المطر"، "حنين"، "عناء الروح"، "قولي له"، "خلف الستار"، "ذات ندوب"، "قبس ونار"، "لا تسألني"، "خروج"، "ما عاد يجدي"، "نصف الورق"، "مسَّني الفقدُ"، "هدهده"، "مددّ مددْ"، "ما زلت ماثلة"، و"أنواء".
