لا يختلف اثنان على حقيقة فحواها أن الأدب والفن يؤرخان لتاريخ الشعوب التي أبدعتهما، بحيث أضحى كلٌ منهما عاكساً للحقب الزمنية المختلفة وشاهداً على أحداثها وناسها، والشعر الغنائي هو لون من ألوان الفن التي تعكس الواقع بشكل ما فالعلاقة بين الشاعر وموضوعه، هي في انتقال الموضوع من الواقع الخارجي إلى القصيدة، مروراً بذات الشاعر، والشاعر المقصود هنا "أكرم فواز" الذي أبدع بصياغة القصيدة الغنائية، فهي عنده بمثابة قصة رومانسية منسوجة بحبكة أدبية فائقة الجمال ومهيأة لمشاركة الآلة الموسيقية والصوت الغنائي لسرد أحداثها والدلالة على ما يعتمل نفوس أبطالها والذين هم في غالبيتهم من العاشقين والذين أفاض بهم الشوق.
تحت عنوان "شرع الحب" يقول الشاعر أكرم فواز:
شرعت شرع الحب شرعه للبشر/ وسلّمت سلّم شعر سالم للقدر/ وعلّمت علم الفن للعالم علم/ وضويت ضوّ القمر/ وين الشعر؟/ الشعر في قلبي وبجيني ترجمان/ يا حباب قلبي تذكرو وتسمّعو/ متل ما الفلاّح والجندي كمان/ زوّادتو وبارودتو بيبقو معو".
إن الشاعر بلغته الإبداعية التي تنتج القصيدة الغنائية تقودنا إلى القول أن ذات الشاعر تشكل عصب الغنائية وحافز انبنائها داخلياً، فاللغة التي تنتج القصيدة عند أكرم فواز لا يمكننا إلا أن نعتبرها نصاً أدبياً وخاصة في تفعيله المستوى اللغوي النثري لإقامة بنى شعرية تستدرج الغناء إلى خانة الشعر بنواظم دلالية قد لا يبتعد فيها الشاعر كثيراً عن القصيدة الحرة في اشتغالاته على النبرة الإيقاعية التي تستثمر من تاريخ الشاعر وتاريخ لبنان وتاريخ الكتابة نفسها.
يضم الكتاب أناشيد وقصائد غنائية فولوكلورية بنكهة لبنانية جاءت متنوعة الثيمات والأغراض الشعرية منها ما أنشده الشاعر في مناسبات مختلفة، ومنها ما هو جديد وينشر لأول مرة، نذكر من عناوينها: سعيدة، حي الحلوين، ولا لبناني، ألعاب العيد، مهضومي، يا رمز الحنان، بستان كروم، بعدك زغيري... وقصائد أخرى.
