«مناديل القديسة» للشاعرة بلقيس ملحم قصائد مركبة ذات بناء درامي تقوم عمارتها اللغوية الأساسية على السردية الوصفية التي تحكي صيرورة الذات، فالمفردات هنا تجد المجال الأرحب لنمو الأفكار وتطورها وصيرورتها وبناءها في القصيدة، فتتأرجح شعريتها بين الحضور والغياب، وبين المجازي الواقعي، والغائب المتخيل. وبالتالي تقود إلى إتساع مساحة التواصل مع مجتمع التلقي.
قدم للمجموعة بكلمة الشاعر العراقي علوان حسين ومما جاء فيها: "... قصائد نقرأ من خلالها تراثاً طويلاً كنهر من العشاق لا يمكن اختزاله وعبوره إلاَّ بمشقة النحت حتى تقدح شرارة الكلمات تحت الإزميل. المحيّر في الأمر لماذا اختارت بلقيس الملحم الكتابة بصوت المذكر الذي يخاطب أنثاه؟ ألأن المنادى الأنثى أقرب إلى الحلم وكمن يود أن لا يوقظَ حلماً من نومه فتقمصت جسد رجل عاشق شبت النار في روحه حتى أراد أن يصرخ ليوقظ العالم؟ كان صوته يهدر كمطر يهطل من ظلمات القلب، من سماء اللوعة واللهفة كموسيقى تبحث عن حنان، كجسد يرتجف من البرد ويود أن يموت في حضن امرأةٍ ليرى وجهها مرتسماً في صورة القمر. بلقيس الملحم كلماتها وإن كانت إيروسية ظاهراً فهي بحاجة إلى إصغاء عميق ليس لأنها آتية من حنجرة ممزقة إنما كونها تقطر حناناً وتتصبب لهفةً وتتفجر عشقاً طاهراً كصلاة".
من عوالم «مناديل القديسة» نقرأ:"... أيتها التي تعالت بقدسها/ سأقطع السماوات/ على ظهر غزال مُجنَّح/ فشهقة الورد/ تكاد تسبقني إليك/ وأنا أغار.. أغار/ أيتها القديسة/ المتشحة بالسواد/ الحمد للظلام/ غاص في دروبك/ وأحاطك بغيرتي/ حتى خفيت على الآخرين/ وأضأت لي فقط/ بصوتك المبحوح/ أوقفت روحي على حبك/ فكوني سبيلي إلى الله".هذا، وقد توزعت أبيات المجموعة «مناديل القديسة» على (345) مقطعاً شعرياً على طول صفحات الكتاب.
