في مجموعته الشعرية «خطيئة أبجدية» يدخل شعر "السهم اليماني" القصيد من بوابة المعنى، والغاية تأسيس مشهدٍ شعري يترادف عبر متنه النص محمول الدلالة والصوت، فهو على ما يبدو هنا مسكونٌ بالأصواتِ وإيقاعُ الكلماتِ، يستدرج عدداً من المعاني؛ ليشكل من خلالها قيمات تشكيلية وفنية ودلالية وصوتية، سوف تثري المعنى الداخلي للنصوص التي تترشح عن ظلال اللغة الحيّة، ومن المقاربة الحسية بين (الكلمة والشيء) وتأسيس العلاقة الجدلية بينهما، فالسهم اليماني لا يكتب الشيء بقدر ما يعمل على تحرير المعنى في الشيء ليتحرر الشعر عبر فاعلية اللغة، ومن قوة الذات الشاعرة.
في القصيدة المعنونة «سُلطة المعنى» يقول: "اتكفف الكلمات/ معنى لا يُحيل على الكلام/ ولا يناشد فرحتي تحييد جاه../ استحلف الكلمات في التخفيف/ من ظلم الهوى/ وأنام بين حروف الصمت/ خلسةً/ يا سلطة المعنى/ أقيلي غربتي/ وتأملي كيف استبدُّ بنشوتي/ لفت الانتباه../ ثملّ أنا/ كم سكرتُ بالحبر/ كم مرةٍ قبَّلتُه ولعقتُه/ مستفهماً عن لذة المعنى/ الذي ذاق السَّلافة من شفاه../ استوقفت الكلمات وأسأل/ هل في قدرة الكلمات/ أن تمشي إلى غير اتجاه (...)".
