تحدثنا حتى انتهى اللقاء بموعد، زرته دون أن أطوي يومي، محملاً بكتابي الذي منحت نفسي من خلاله لقب الغبي، دخلت عليه في مكتبه، يدخن البايب، لا يستغني عن نشوته قيد أنملة، يبقي على سحب نفسه غير آبه بمن حوله، تلتف الرولكس المرصعة بالألماس حول معصمه الثخين، ثمنها يوازي ثمن نصف عمارة في الأرياف، تعب الحائط خلفه من حمل لوحات عدة، منها مستنسخة من لوحات عالمية، ما يرهب أن بعضها حقيقية، الستائر المعدنية تكسي زجاج مكتبه اللامع، عند دخولي إلى عالمه فجأة.. أصاب اندفاعي لملاقاته عطب وانكماش مفاجئ ربما من ذلك الشيء الذي شد بالي وفضولي حتى صارا بطول السنديانة الهندية، تمثال برونزي اللون، للذهب القديم ينساب لونه أكثر من البرونز، علمت بعد تدقيق أنه تمثال إمحوتب، ذلك الفرعون الغامض الذي وضع تصميم الأهرامات، ظننته كالأغلبية من الأثرياء يقتنون التماثيل واللوحات النفيسة فقط للتباهي، علمت بعدها أن لهذا الرجل تركيبة عجيبة لا تقل غرابة عن تركيبة المادة المستعملة في الحناط، لم أكن أعلم أن للتشبيه قوة في فرض نفسه، صار هو أيضاً واحداً من آلاف الأسرار المتروكة من عهد الفراعنة ولم يتمكن العلماء حتى الساعة من حل ألغازها...
