".. غير أنك تعرف أن الأشياء في الحياة هي ليست دائماً الوقائع التي نتلمسها بحواسنا الخمس، بل هي الأوهام والأحلام أيضاً. أظن أنني كنت مدفوعة بروح شيطانية تلبستني منذ الصغر، ولهذا غرقت في أوهامي وأحلامي وتركتها تقودني إلى حيث تريدني هي لا إلى حيث ما أرغب أنا. بقيت مستكينة لخيط القدر، وفوضى الصدف، وعبث التاريخ، أو الحياة أو سمها ما شئت من الإرادات الكبرى التي تتحكم في سيرنا هذا بداخل هذه المادة الكبيرة التي تسمى الأرض. نعم تركت أمر نفسي للأهواء والأخطاء. كثيراً ما شعرت بقيمتها في حياتي. ركنت لبعض الحب، وبعض اللحظات الآسرة بالشوق والحنان، والتي فتحت لي عبر مساري هذا طرقاً كثيرة واسعة وممتدة. شعرت بأنني أختزن في روحي تجارب كبيرة، وحيوات عدة وأنني كنت أقدر لو فقط تلمست طريقي بيدي أن أبلغ ذروة ما عميقة في، لحظة سحرية خاصة بي، غير أن كل شيء كان يقود إلى نقيضه، حركاتي الإيجابية كانت ترتطم بشيء أسود في، وتموت بسرعة، مندغمة في جرح غائر وهاوية عميقة، فتسقط أو أشعر بها أنها تسقط راكضة نحو فناءها التعيس ذاك".
