عاش حياة مليئة بالأخطاء والمخالفات القانونية وأصبح ملاحقاً في الولايات المتحدة. دخل إلى السجن وبعد خروجه أصبح مشهوراً نتيجة ظهوره على التلفزيون عدة مرات ليتحدث عن مغامراته، ألف كتاباً حول سيرته وفي النهاية ذهب إلى دبي حيث عمل لفترة قصيرة ثم سئم الحياة فذهب إلى عرض البحر على متن مركب وانتحر.
