بين يدينا النسخة العربية من رواية الكاتبة والشاعرة الدنماركية "ميريته بريدس هيله" المعنونة "Fiske Ilirets Flod" تحت عنوان "صيد في نهر الحياة. يعتبر الشاعر جمال جمعة: "أن رواية "صيد في نهر الحياة" أهم أعمال الكاتبة الروائية، إذ تمخر فيها بأزمان متعددة من الحاضر الدنماركي إلى الماضي السومري في محاولة منها لاستنطاق الزمن الذي اخترعت فيه الكتابة وذلك في نسيج شعري شفاف يمتزج فيه الخيالي بالواقعي". ومهما يكن من أمر، بدت الرواية وكاتبتها تقفز من خلف حواجز الزمان لتفتح كوة تطل بها على ماضي الكتابة وأصلها وهي تقحم نقاط الضعف في نظرية نشوء الكتابة في بلاد ما بين النهرين القديمة بجهد دؤوب يتوخى معرفة هل "أن اختراع الكتابة كان عمل شخص واحد" أم لا؟! بهذا المعنى تكون ميريته بريدس هيله. قد قدمت وعبر قص روائي جميل وممتع مقاربة واقعية لموضوعة "الكتابة"، من خلال راوٍ مصطنع، وزمنٍ قد لا يتطابق مع الزمن الأرضي. وأماكن اختلط فيها الواقعي بالمتخيل، وشخصيات معظمها من الفلاسفة والكهنة؛ فنتج عن ذلك عملاً فنياً رائعاً يتأرجح بين الواقع والماوراء، بين الحقيقة والرمز وتلك هي متعة الكتابة والقراءة معاً... وبناءً على ذلك فقد انتظمت الرواية في عنوانين هما: "جزيرة كابري 1997.27.7"، و"سومر، مدينة أور، سنة 3350 ق.م". الجدير بالذكر أن "ميريته بريدس هيله" كاتبة وشاعرة دنماركية ولدت عام 1965. كانت باكورة أعمالها مجموعة قصص قصيرة أصدرتها عام 1990 توالت بعدها أعمال شعرية وروائية عديدة، منها "الجنون السعيد"، "آه يا روميو"، و"صيد في نهر الحياة"، كما أصدرت مع زوجها الشاعر والروائي مورتن سونجورد سلسلة روايات بوليسية مكتوبة بشكل مشترك صدرت باسم مستعار.
