ثمة رجل واحد في العالم كلّه تعاطف إلى أقصى حدّ مع جغلولا، إنّه طليقي عارف لبيب ذاك الذي بات الناس يظنّونه مجذوباً، أو درويشاً صوفياً، بسبب ثيابه الخشنة الرخيصة ولحيته الكثّة؛ وذهوله الطويل في أعماق نفسه، ثم حديثه معها بصوت عال حتى يفيق من مناجاته.ليلة وفاة جغلولا وقف عارف قرب النافذة، ينزُ منه ألم إنساني رهيب على رجل عاش مأساة فظيعة في آخر أيامه، فقط كي يبني مذيع قذر نجاحاً لبرنامجه على شظايا روح ذلك المسكين. وظلّ مصلوباً على جدر الليل يحدق في البعيد، ساعات عدة. كانت الأضواء تشع من كل مكان، وكان القمر بازغاً، ومع هذا لم يكن يرى شيئاً غير السواد. بغتة انقطعت الكهرباء وتوارى القمر وراء غيمة كثيفة، فانتشرت جحافل الظلام وغلّفت المدينة كلها إلّا بصيرته، فقد أشرقت بأفكار وحقائق لم تخطر بباله يوماً.هذا المقتبس من رواية (رقصة البيدق جغلولا) للروائي فتح الله عمر يذكرنا بالدراسات السوسيو - تاريخية للأدب، بدءاً بمدام دو ستايل، مؤلفة كتاب الأدب وعلاقته بالأنظمة الاجتماعية، مروراً بآراء جورج لوكاش، وميخائيل باختين... وآخرون تؤكد أعمالهم أن البنى اللغوية والسردية في الخطاب الروائي توشك أن تكون نسخة منقحة للبنى الاجتماعية السائدة في كل عصر، وهذه الرواية تحيل بشخوصها وأحداثها ووقائعها إلى ثقافة المخابرات ومفرداتها السائدة في مجتمعنا العربي المعاصر والصراع المتعدد الأبعاد بين السياسة والإعلام وعلاقة الجمهور بهما، وظهور طبقة فاسدة مستفيدة من الانهيارات المتتابعة على الصعيد العام والخاص، وهي طبقة الجغاليل الكبار، التي سوف تأكل الجغاليل الصغار، وبهذا المعنى يكتب فتح الله عمر رواية على هامش المدن العربية وإفراز فوضاها، تعكس صورة جماهير، سائرة باتجاه التغيير، حيث اللاعودة إلى الوراء.
