Book Description
كانت "جيني كارتر" يوماً نجماً صاعداً في نشرات الأخبار في التلفزيون ومتزوجة من المذيع الأول في المحطة ولهما ابن يبلغ من العمر ثلاث سنوات ويتمتعون بحياة كاملة وسعيدة في "بيڤرلي هيلز"، إلى أن انهار عالمها كله في حادث في لحظة واحدة على الطريق السريع قبل يومين من عيد الميلاد. في أعقاب ذلك تتمكن من إعادة جمع أجزاء حياتها المنهارة من جديد محاولةً إيجاد معنى جديد لحياتها كمدافعةٍ عن حقوق الإنسان في أسوأ الأماكن في العالم.

يضيء "بلو" بروحه الطيبة ومزيج لا يقاوم من البراءة والحكمة يفوق سنوات عمره حياة "جيني" التي تكنُ له الاحترام ليشكلا رابطاً غير عادي وليكوّنا الأسرة التي فقدها كلٌّ منهما. ولكن ما أن اطمأن "بلو" لها وبدأ يثق بها، تعلم "جيني" عن خيانة مروعة أقدم على إخفائها عنها. فهل سيتحول هذا الجرح العميق غير قابل للشفاء، أم أنها ستكون قادرة على تجاوزه والتغلب على نفسها وإعادة اللحمة بينهما من جديد?
