في الجزء الثاني من رواية «دموع حمراء»، تتابع الكاتبة وجدان بنت سلمان عبد العزيز النتائج المترتبة على وقائع الانقلاب على الملك "ديفيد" وسيطرة "سيلفر" المفاجئة على قلعة النور وقتله الملك ديفيد وزوجته إيلا وطفله رون احتراقاً ورقصه فوق جثة الملك وأخذه محله في الحكم وهروب ريتشارد الابن الأكبر للملك وكريستال وويليم إلى قلعة الشعاع. يكتشف سيلفر بعد توليه الحكم في قلعة النور أن ريتشاد لم يقتل في تلك الحرب التي أقيمت على راشيل وجنودها، وبأن ريتشارد الأمير هو طوني ذلك العبد المملوك لسنوات.. وبعد اختفاءه يُعلن الملك سيلفر عن مكافأة لمن يأتي بقلب ريتشارد؛ فتهافت العديد لتلك المهمة الصعبة دون أن ينجحوا... بل على العكس؛ فبعد طول انتظار وتخطيط وألم ودموع وفقد، سيصل الأمير ريتشارد إلى قلعة والده، قلعة الملك ديفيد.. ولكن هل سيستطيع استرداد ملك أبيه وقتل الملك سيلفر والانتقام لعائلته أم سيذرف الدموع الحمراء أمام ظالمه؟ ويكتفي في كتابة تاريخ عائلته في رواية ليتيح للعالم قراءتها بعد أن يختار لها عنواناً مناسباً؟

"... اقترب من صندوق زجاجي يحوي بداخله كتاباً وقال: "هذا الكتاب الذي كتبه الكاتب بايريك ريجس عندما حكى له الأمير ريتشارد تفاصيل حياته، كانت النسخة الوحيدة المحفوظة، فالبقية اختفت مع الزمن، ومن حسن حظنا أنها بقيت حتى نعرف حقيقة تلك الحكاية التي كانت غامضة لدى البعض، فقد تم إيجاد هذا الكتاب قبل ثلاثين سنة محفوظاً في أحد القصور العريقة الذي ورثته عائلة الكاتب حتى يومنا هذا...".
