الأولى لمن يروي الحكاية.

والثالثة لمن يفهم مغزاها.
- من الممكن أنْ تلتقط المغزى أو الحكاية، ولكن من الممكن أيضاً أن تستذكر. وفي روايته "عبد اللطيف الأرمني والتفاحات الثلاث" يعيد الكاتب "أحمد الصراف" إلى مسرح الأدب القضية الأرمنية بسردٍ آسر يمزج بين الرواية والتاريخ والمذكرات؛ ليقول فيه ما تعرّض له الشعب الأرمني على يد السلطة العثمانية من تقتيل وتشريد وتصفية عرقية في عمليات قتل فردية وجماعية، ويفعل ذلك الكاتب من خلال تتبعه لحياة أسرة أرمنية وما مرت به من معاناة.. حيث تدور أحداث الرواية بين حلب والعراق والكويت.. وتبدأ المعاناة بالرحيل الأول عن حلب، مسقط رأس بطل الرواية، ومدينته التي وُلد وعاش فيها... غريباً، ثم رحل عنها حاملاً غربته معه لغربة أكبر في العراق، حيث بقي لسنوات قليلة قبل أن ينتقل لمجتمع أكثر غرابة... الكويت، ومما زاد في غربته تزايد أنشطته وتحولها من حرفة فنية إلى تجارية فنية تختص بصياغة الحلي الذهبية والفضية، إلى ترفيهية وسياحية.. سوف تضع حياته على مفترق طرق...
- قدّم الكاتب أحمد الصراف (ملاحظة) في مفتتح هذه الرواية ومما جاء فيها: "فكرت في كتابة هذه الرواية القصيرة، بعد أن تبلورت أحداثها في رأسي قبل عام تقريباً، وكدت أصرف النظر عنها، بالرغم من ارتباطي النفسي بها، بعد أن تبين مقدار الجهد والوقت الذي يتطلبه إنهاؤها، خاصة وأنني منشغل ومستمتع بكتابة عمودي اليومي في صحيفة "القبس" الكويتية، وهي مهمة ليست بالهينة على كاتب غير محترف مثلي، خاصة وأن ما كان يطنُّ في رأسي طوال الوقت من أفكار تتطلب الصياغة والتحول لمقال، وهذا كان يأخذ جل وقتي إضافة لانشغالي بأعمالي التجارية، وسفري المستمر. ولكني حسمت أمري بعد حفل توقيع كتابي "كلام الناس"، في إبريل 2017، في فندق الشيراتون، بعد ما وجدته من تجاوب كبير من الحضور وحثهم لأن أتجه لكتابة الرواية، فهذا أعادني بقوة لفكرة إنهاء ما بدأت به (...)".
