هو كاتب يمسك بيده مقبض الباب المؤدي إلى الحياة بكل عريها، ويمتلك الشجاعة لفتح هذا الباب وليس مجرد الوقوف أمامه، إنه الناقد والأديب والسينمائي "محمد عبد الله الترهوني" فهو حينما يحدثك عن الحب يجعل من الحب مكاناً ينغرس فيه، بل يلح كثيراً لكي نتوقف جميعنا فيه؛ هو لا يحصي كل الكلمات التي يمكن أن تقال عن الحب، لكنه "أحب الوقوف عند جغرافيته المهيبة" فوجدها الأشد إدهاشاً وإمتاعاً وأهمية من جغرافية الموضوعات الأخرى، وهذا إن دل على شيء فإنما يدل على أن الترهوني يمنح اللحظة الكتابية روحها، هي لحظة الكشف حينما تكون الكتابة مشروعاً صادقاً في اللحظات الحرجة؛ تحت عنوان (فخ الكتابة) يقول الترهوني: ".. الكتابة تكون أجمل إذا كانت متشكلة داخل مجالها هي، حضورها يجعل الحديث عن نخب السلطة، عن مجانين الفلسفة، عن مجرمي المال، عن الأحداث المريعة والمباغتة التي تسحق البشرية ببرودة دم غريبة، عندما تكون هي تحت الحروف حتى الحديث عن المعارك الحربية يتحول إلى حديث عن قصة باليه حزينة لكن لا تخلو من بطولة، الانفتاح على عالم الأهواء يخرج الكتابة على الرهافة المفروضة عليها، ليست الكتابة شاهداً على أحد ولا على شيء، الكتابة فخ للكلام عن كل شيء كأنه غير معروف تماماً، الكتابة من خلال تصورنا لمعنى الحب تشبه الكلام عن الغيلان التي كنا نخاف منها ونحن أطفال وكيف أصبحنا نحن هذه الغيلان نفسها مع تعديل بسيط وهو أنها غيلان تتعذب وليست مرعبة بالقدر الكافي". يضم الكتاب مقالات/هوامش على متن الكتابة والحب والحياة للكاتب محمد عبد الله الترهوني جمعها تحت عنوان (تاء مربوطة) هي نزهة الكاتب في "رياض الحب وسهول المعرفة والكلمة" نذكر من عناوينها: "الفراق"، "بهو منتصف العمر"، "المعرفة على هامش الحب"، "الحياة كنص أدبي"، "هي جذابة"، "سحر التناقضات"، "في غيابك" (...)
