في كتابها «الوجه الأبيض» تبدو ريم العصيمي كمن يجمع نوادر الحُلل ويعقدها على رقاب الحروف وهي تفعل ذلك بنصوصٍ سوف تتزين بها حياتنا بالبياض بل وتجعل أفكارنا صافية وضاءة بكل المعاني الإنسانية الرفيعة سواء في القول أو في العمل، ذلك أن فيها من تطوير الذات ومن فلسفة الحياة ومن العلم والأدب الكثير وهذا هو امتياز الكاتبة.
في المقدمة التي تفتتح فيها العصيمي عملها تقول عن (الوجه الأبيض):
الوجه الأبيض... إنه السماء المقمرة... المرصعة بالنجوم.
الوجه البيض... فَرحة طفل في فَجر عيد...
إنه دعوة أمٍّ... وأبٍ... مُعتَّقة بنقاءٍ وعذوبة روحٍ، وصدق عَطاء.
إنها صديقةٌ تجاوزت حَدَّ الأخ والأخت... إنه ابتسامة حياة.
الوجه الأبيض هو القطنة البيضاء النظيفة... تمسح شوائب الحياة... حزن السنين... دمع العيون... وهْمَ الجفون. – وأما عن سِر الوجه الأبيض؛ فتكشفه ريم لنا عبر: "الحلم الذي راودني في المنام؛ بأن هناك مُدونة تحمل اسمي الصغير، عنوانها "الوجه الأبيض"... الفاتح الأبيض المضيء المتحرر من القيود والسلاسل، وكأني صاحبة المعلقات الأسطورية مُنذ القِدم، واسمي......
وتتابع الكاتبة: الإحساس كفكرة تراود الذّهن يلتقطها الباطنُ، ويرسمها لك الحُلم، وكأن شعورك هو الحقيقة، عندما تَخُطها الأنامل وتُتمتمها شفاهك وتُرددها أنفاسك كل حين...
أنا فقط أكتبُ لأعيش... وأعيش حتى أكتُب... حتى لا أكتئب.
لأني أقرأ... ولأني أكتُب، إذاً أنا أعيش... فَكُنت صَاحبة الوجه الأبيض".
يضم الكتاب ما يزيد عن الخمسون نصاً نثرياً ومقالاً أنيقة اللفظ، كثيفة المعاني، ومحملة بتجربة ثقافية غنية، من عناوينها نذكر: "قائدة المطر"، "يوم فارغ"، "كسل الخلايا"، "لا عمل إلا بروح"، "أحتاج إلى اتساع"، "فما فوق الطاقة"، "البراءة لكل الناس ليس للطفل وحده"، "الماضي والقاضي"، (...) وعناوين أخرى.
