«خطيئة مؤجلة» نصوص نثرية تستحضر معاني الحبّ والألفة والتيه والدوران حول الذات والعالم وتشاكلات الوجدان والشهوات والتمرد؛ في دعوة مسكونة بالعلائق الحسية والوجدانية. وقد تمظهر هذا الإشتغال عند الشاعر عماد العمران عبر مخيلة متمردة تحضن نسقاً تجريدياً أعطى النص جاذبية وقوة لإقامة مشهد مسكون وضاج بالحركة والإيقاع الحياتي الخاص بالذات المبدعة لفضح رغباتها ووساوسها وإرهاصاتها وأمانيها المفخخة في أرومة المعنى؛ الذي يتجسد في النص إصغاءاً عميقاً من قبل الشاعر لذاته.
تحت عنوان (رغبة) يكتب عماد العمران: "تأخذني الرغبة إلى سدرةِ الأخطاء/ تتعقبني جيوش الذاكرة/ أضربُ في كلِّ الإتجاهات،/ ولا مخرجَ إلا عقلي/ منذورٌ للوهمِ/ لا يؤثثُ بقائي سوى قلب يتطاير في أنحاء الجسد/ هل في هذا الجسد دمٌ أصيل؟/ هل فيه رغبة لا تنتابها الكائنات؟/ كل ما احتاجه لاقتراف السهوِ والخطأ،/ كل ما يلزمني للسقوطِ المبجل هو الوقت/ منذ كنتُ، كانت الرغبةُ/ وما كان شكّاً، أمسى الآن تفاصيل غير مهمة/ وما كان خطأً فادحاً وواضحاً،/ صار الآن عادةً لها أجنحةٌ ومنقارٌ صُلْب/ صار لا بد لابنِ الثلاثينَ أن يُصنفَ خطاياه،/ ويضع الرغبةَ في المراتب الأولى/ والنوم في المراتب الأخيرة ربما/ والحبّ في المرتبة التي تليق به/ تماماً مثلما ننسق باقة من الورد".
