ومؤلف هذا الكتاب (ا.د. حسن البياتي) هو واحد من تلاميذ الدكتور الطاهر الأثيرين لديه، وهو يتمتع بخبرة واسعة في مجال الترجمة، حيث صدر له العديد من الكتب المترجمة عن اللغة الروسية في موضوعات إبداعية وثقافية متنوعة، فضلاً عن عشرات الآثار الإبداعية والثقافية المترجمة، المنشورة في مختلف الصحف والمجلات والدوريات العراقية والعربية والروسية، وقد ثبت الباحث معظم ذلك في سيرته الذاتية والعلمية التي أوردها في نهاية كتابه هذا.
ومما ساعد على إنجاز هذا الصرح الترجمي الجميل معرفة المؤلف أكثر من لغة أجنبية مكّنته من الولوج في الأصول التي خاضها الدكتور الطاهر في تقديم ثمار جهوده في (عالم) الترجمة.
