تجربة مرور الإنسان بالعالم والوجود، وعيش هذه التجربة هو ما تتمحور حوله متاهات الكاتب عبد الهادي بن سعود السبيعي، هي كتابات، تمتلك الجدية والرصانة والعمق، ولا تمارس وصاية نقدية على المتلقي، أو تصادر حقه في قراءة خاصة، بل تترك له حرية الخوض في عالم ممتلئ بأكداس من الرؤى والعوالم الخلاقة والمتشابكة، انسلت في الكتاب بنفس سردي وصفي يعتمد الأسلوب الحكائي، وبقدر عال من الدلالات المتناوبة التي تدخل في بنية نصوص الكاتب وفي التقاطاته الذهنية والحسية والمعرفية لكل متاهات الحياة.
يقول الكاتب في المقدمة التي تصدرت كتابه "من متاهات الحياة": هُنا وفي هذه الأسطر، سأطرح متاهات حياتية يعيشها أشخاص أو جماعات، وسأقوم بسرد هذه المشكلة بثوب المتاهة التي تواجه كل شخص مِنا.
في خضم العولمة التي أدنت البعيد، وأخذتنا داخل جعبتها المليئة بالمغارات المُظلمة والتي جعلتنا في دوامتها المليئة بالمتاهات، مما تُحتم علينا الأخذ بالجيد الذي يكفل الحياة السعيدة البعيدة عن مشاكل الحياة الفانية، والوقوف على عتبات النور والخروج من دهاليزها الوعرة لعبق الحياة الجميلة".
يقسم الكاتب محتويات عمله إلى ستة فصول، تبدأ بمتاهات أسرية، مروراً بمتاهات التربية أشكالها وأساليبها ثم المراهقة ودور الأسرة في هذه المرحلة وطرق الاهتمام والتوجيه، ومتاهات الاختيار ومنها الوظيفي ومنها الزوجي، ثم لا يلبث أن يعرج على متاهات عامة مثل: متاهات الفشل، متاهات شبابية، متاهات إلكترونية، متاهات تعليمية، متاهات أخلاقية، ومتاهة الشيخوخة... ويختتم بمُقتطفات خاصة وفيها حِكم وإرشادات عامة علها تساعد في عبور تلك المتاهات.
