السوسنة البرية رحلة من وإلى اكتشاف الذات. تتبلور فيها الأسطورة والواقع عبر غائية فردية تنصهر في بوتقة الحلم الذي يستحيل حقيقة عبر رمزية السوسنة البرية. تدور الأحداث حول شخصية فلسطينية تواجه الشتات بالحلم لتصبح واحدة من شخصيات أدب “حكايات الحالمين”. يخرج البطل من مخيم الشتات ليعود إلى موطنه الأصلي لاسترداد إرث أجداده من منطقة مغمورة تدعى جهيد. يتوقف البطل في محطات عديدة خلال رحلته الطويلة. تظهر له زهرة السوسن البرية في حلم عند محطته الأولى لتحفزه على المضي في سيره نحو موطنه صوفا بعد أن أعقبته خمرة ياس. ثم ينطلق مسترشداً بالزهرة التي أصبحت حلماً مجرداً يظهرله في كل محطة من محطاته وفي كل وجه من الوجوه التي رآها في حياته وفي رحلته.
