تُعلن أكاديمية نوبل عادة عن الحائز على جائزة نوبل للأدب في شهر أكتوبر/تشرين الأول في مقر الأكاديمية في ستوكهولم، ويطلب منه أو منها تحرير محاضرة يلقيها يوم 7 ديسمبر/كانون الأول في مقر الأكاديمية في ستوكهولم. وتشكل المحاضرة فرصة ذهبية لمخاطبة العالم بالنسبة للأديب… وفي هذا الكتاب الترجمة العربية الكاملة لمحاضرات الحائزين على جائزة نوبل في الأدب، للعام 2000 – 2010، نقلها إلى العربية الأستاذ “عبد الودود العمراني”. يبدأ الكتاب بتقديم للدكتور “مرزوق بشير مرزوق” مدير إدارة البحوث والدراسات الثقافية في الدوحة، وفيه يرى إن محاضرة نوبل هي شهادة على أعمال الأديب وعلى عصره وعلى رؤيته للأدب، إضافة إلى ما تحتويه من بوح رائع حول أسرار الكتابة وألغازها وطقوسها. يلي ذلك، مقدمة من تأليف “كيال إسمبارك” الشاعر والروائي والمؤرخ الأدبي السويدي الذي يرأس منذ سنة 1988 لجنة نوبل، وفيها عرض لآلية وشروط ومعايير الترشيح بجائزة نوبل منذ المرحلة الأولى (1901 – 1912) مروراً بمحطات مختلفة من القرن العشرين، ورأيه في منح الجائزة لعدد كبير من الأسماء المشهورة والمعروفة في عالم نوبل. أما المحاضرات التي يضمها الكتاب فهي: محاضرة ماريو برغاس يوسا، 2010 بعنوان “مديح القراءة والرواية”. محاضرة هرتا مولر، 2009 بعنوان “كل كلمة لديها ما تقوله حول الحلقة المفرغة”. محاضرة جان ماري لوكليزيو، 7 ديسمبر 2008 بعنوان “في غابة المفارقات”. محاضرة دوريس ليسنغ، 2007 بعنوان “حول عدم الفوز بجائزة نوبل”. محاضرة ارهان باموك، 2006 بعنوان “حقيبة أبي”. محاضرة هارولد بنتر، 2005 بعنوان “الفن والحقيقة والسياسة”. محاضرة ألفريدا ياليناك، 2004 بعنوان “في التماس”. محاضرة جون ماكسويل كوتزي، 2003 بعنوان “هو وابن بلدي”. محاضرة امرؤ كريتز، 2002 بعنوان “وجدتها!”. محاضرة فيديا ذار نايبول، 2001 بعنوان “عالَمان”. محاضرة غاوكسنفيان، 2000 بعنوان “دعوى لصالح الأدب”. هذا الكتاب وثيقة أدبية فائقة الأهمية، هي محاضرات تغوص في أزمنة مختلفة، وتقدم أدباء ينتمون إلى لغات وثقافات مختلفة
