وبناءً على ما تقدم يشكل هذا الكتاب نموذجاً عن إسهام الصين الفعّال في بعثة الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام، وتغطي محتوياته الخدمة الأمنية الصينية المتميزة لدى بعثات حفظ السلام في الأمم المتحدة في عقد من الزمان واجهت خلالها هذه القوات مشكلاتٍّ سياسية معقدة، وظروفاً معيشية قاسية، ومخططات خطرةً، ولكن مع ذلك أدت مهماتها في مكافحة الجريمة، وحماية حقوق الإنسان، وإعادة بناء وتطبيق القانون المحلي في البلدان المضيفة حيث إنها احترمت العادات المحلية جداً، وعززت القوانين بطريقة الخدمة الموجهة، وقدمت خدمات مخلصة، وحصلت على احترام وتفهّم السكان المحليين والمجتمع؛ كما رسخت قوات حفظ السلام الصينية صورة الصينيين في قلوب الناس في المناطق التي كانت تستقبل البعثات، وتميزت الصورة بالشجاعة، والاجتهاد، والمحبة للسلام..
خلال السنوات الـ 12 الماضية أرسلت الصين ما إجماله 1,753 ضابط شرطة إلى ثماني بعثات لحفظ السلام تابعة للأمم المتحدة في أنحاء العالم. لقد خاطروا بحياتهم، وقاتلوا ببطولة، وصمدوا أمام اختبارات الدم والنار، وأظهروا احترافية رائعة، وفازوا بشرف البلاد والشعب.
في الحقيقة، أصبح ضباط وجنود حفظ السلام الصينيون أفراداً بارزين وقوة داعمة وأساسية لحفظ السلام ومقدمة بعثة الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام.
