أواخر 1956 فرّ إلى البحرين ومنها إلى لبنان وسوريا حيث كتب في عدة صحف ومجلات في هذه البلدان.
عام 1965 استقر في لبنان وسوريا، ونشر سلسلة دراسات.
منذ عام 1976، عاد إلى الوطن بشكل علني وانخرط في النشاط الثقافي والفكري والصحافي.

Book Description
ينقسم الإرهاب إلى قسمين، قسم مادي وقسم فكري، يأخذ الأول مساره ضمن قياسات دينية وقومية وعرقية، ويأخذ الثاني مساره في ممارسة العلميات العسكرية والحروف الطائفية، والاغتيالات الفردية. فالمؤلف يرى أن كل نشاط قسري إرغامي قمعي هو عمل إرهابي. والفرد يمكن أن يكون إرهابياً وكذلك الدولة أو الحزب أو الجماعة أو فرق الميلشيا كلها تندرج تحت قائمة الإرهاب فكرأص ومادة.
ويدعو المؤلف إلى تدارك استفحال التطرف والتشدد لكل نردع عنا غاشية الإرهاب وهو يذهب إلى أن ظاهرة التطرف والتشدد تناهضا في الأساس من لديه جماعة الإخوان المسلمين التي تمددت في الخليج والجزيرة العربية وقد أدت الأنظمة الرجعية والدكتاتورية دوراً في إنعاش الإرهاب وبلورة مفاهيمه الظلامية في المجتمع.
ويؤكد المؤلف أن النضال ضد الإرهاب واجتثاث مصادر جذور منابعة له أولوية أهمية أجندية الوطنية في الإصلاح وبناء المجتمع وإقامة دولة العدل والقانون وتكريس حقوق الإنسان في الحرية والديمقراطية والتعددية والعدالة الاجتماعية.
الخلط الفاجر بين اللاهوت والناسوت شكل هذا التخلف الذي ينخر عظامنا ويحيلنا إلى واقع الاتكالية وسوء التدبير (اللهم دبرني فإني لا أحسن التدبير)، هو هذا الداء العظال الذي يقتل الإبداع فينا ويقتل خيالنا ويلغي حريتنا، دون أن ندرك أن دون أن يراد لنا أن لا ندرك. إن الخيال والإبداع هما فوق اللاهوت والناسوت وفوق العبادات و المعاملات على حد سواء وهما ضمن شفرات مجاز رمزيتها يسموان في ضمير العبادات والمعاملات ويطهراته من رجس ظلام التشدد والتطرف والإرهاب.
فالخيال والإبداع هما الركيزتان الرحبتان لمبادئ الإنسان وحقوقه لاتباطهما بالحرية التي تشكل نسغاً حياً يتجدد ويجدد حقوق الإنسان.
