كونه شاعراً عاشقاً, يعشق الشعر واللغة والموسيقى, ويعشق الحياة بكل مفاتنها النائية والدانية,
ولد عام 1951 في زبقين من قضاء صور .
أنهى دراسته الابتدائية في مدرسة القرية, والثانوية في صور, ثم حصل على شهادة الكفاءة في اللغة العربية وآدابها من كلية التربية
الجامعة اللبنانية 1973.
عمل بالتدريس بثانوية صور حتى 1982 , وثانوية المصيطبة في بيروت حتى 1988,

له مساهمات في العديد من الصحف والمجلات, أبرزها: الآداب اللبنانية,

يتأرجح في رياض المعاني، يقطف من كل روض زهرة وشوك، يوضّعها دفاتره لتخرج كلمات من قصائد ضمت معاني الوحشة وفراديسها. تتناغم مع الحزن في قانا تارة ومع الفرح السحيق الذي استفاق مع الذكريات تارة اخرى لترجّع، الأم، ومقهى دبيبو، كأنه ما زال يعدو هناك في مساحة الزمن المغادر لينطلق في رحاب الحاضر مع نفثات انطلقت من صدر شاعر.
