يضم هذا الديوان الشعري مجموعة مختارات مثيرة وممتعة من الشعر الإسباني المعاصر تدور حول المعاناة الفلسطينية وبعدها الإنساني، واستمرارها دون هوادة خلال نصف القرن الماضي، مع إدانة قوية النبرة للقوى الاستعمارية التي تغدق الدعم المادي والمعنوي على المعتدين الغاصبين الذين حولوا ما تبقى من الأرض الفلسطينية إلى سجن محكم الإغلاق، مشحون بشتى أنواع الإفناء والإبادة الجماعية. هناك أشعار نابضة بالحنين إلى فلسطين كتبها شعراء من أصل فلسطيني. ويلاحظ في الأشعار المترجمة أنها لم تفقد بريقها وجمال أدائها النابض بحرارة الوجدان. ويبدو هذا الشعر غير غريب عن روح الشعر النضالي الإسباني عند جيل لوركا.
تعتبر هذه المجموعة من الأشعار المتعلقة بفلسطين إسهاما رائعًا من عالم الأدب الإسباني يقف إلى جانب إسهامات دولية أخرى تتكاثر يومًا بعد يوم لتقديم مأساة فلسطين أنموذجا لقضية التحرر الإنساني، لا يمكن لعالم المستقبل أن يشعر بطمأنينة الوجدان إذا لم تجد طريقها إلى الحق والعدل والسلام.
