عرف التّاريخ المعاصر اتجاها اصطبغ به راهن البشرية طغت عليه الروح العلمية، من خلال ثلاثة مظاهر ثورية: ثورة في تكنولوجيا الطاقات المتجددة والاتصال البصري والاستشعار عن بعد، وثورة أخرى في مجال البيولوجيا الجزيئية وما أحدثته من ضجة في فك الشفرات الوراثية، وأيضا ثورة ثالثة في مجال الدراسات اللسانية عن طريق تقنية الذكاء الصناعي واللسانيات الحاسوبية والبرامجيات الرقمية المتعلقة بالأوامر الصوتية، حيث احتلّت اللسانيات المعاصرة قطب الرّحى في مجال العلوم الإنسانية، فصار موكولا لها –أي اللسانيات- واجبا لتأسيس للمعرفة الإنسانية، تأصيلا ومنهاجا وممارسة؛ فتحوّلت اللغة في ذاتها أداة للّوسّل و الاجتراح، وموضوعا للبحث والمدارسة.
فأين موقع اللغة العربية من كل هذا الزخم المعرفي والتراكم الإنتاجي التقني، ونحن على علم بالعلاقة الوطيدة بين اللغة كوعاء للفكر يحوي محمولاته، وكأداة تبليغية لمقولاته، زيادة على أن اللغة تتصل اتصالا وثيقا بمسألة الهوية والشخصية لأية أمة، خاصة إذا وضعنا في الحسبان الحديث المركز في العشرية الأخيرة من القرن المنصرم وبداية هذه الألفية الجديدة، حول مسألة التعدد اللهجي والتعدد اللغوي في مواجهة أحادية القطبية اللغوية وعلاقة هذا كله بالهيمنة الثقافية والحضارية للغة الأنجلوساكسونية المتسابقة مع اللغات الأوروبية من أجل الاستحواذ على مناطق المجال الحيوي المتعلق بتسويق المنتوج الثقافي عبر القناة اللغوية إلى الدول الخاضعة لهيمنة الآخر من خلال قبول لغته التي هي صورة من صور الغلبة الثقافية والحضارية، وما في ذلك من ادعاء بأن ما عدا فئة اللغات الأوروبية والأنجلوساكسونية من اللغات البشرية الأخرى لا يمكنها أن تكون لغة العلم والتكنولوجيا، مع اتهام بعضها مثلما هو الحال بالنسبة للغة العربية التي توصف بأنها لغة عنف وصدام لأنها لغة أنتجها الانفعال المتفجر والعاطفة الدافقة، وليس العقل المتزن ولقد قال غاستو نباشلار : <<فلكي يجد المرء آذانا صاغية داخل المدنية العلمية، ينبغي أن يتكلم لغة العلوم>> .
