Book Description
- ابن النفيس هو علاء الدين علي بن أبي الحزم القَرَشي الدمشقي..
- ولد عام 607هـ - 1211م/ في قرية صغيرة قرب دمشق، تدعى قرَشَ، وهي جزء صغير من حي الميدان في دمشق، وفيه زقاق، مازال حتى اليوم يدعى زقاق القرشي.
- يعدُّ ابن النفيس صفحة مشرقة في تاريخ التراث العلمي العربي الإسلامي.
- نال شهرة كبيرة تجاوزت عصره وزمانه، بفضل مؤلفاته الكثيرة، وتجاربه وتصانيفه المهمة.
- شخصية ابن النفيس فريدة جمعت بين الطب والفلسفة والمنطق وعلوم الدين.
- كان إماماً شافعياً كبيراً، مشهوداً له بالأخلاق الرفيعة، والفضائل الحميدة.
- لقّب بالصَّدر، والإمام، والرئيس، وابن سينا الثاني، والعالم الأجل...
- اعتبره يوسف شاخت: إماماً للطبيب البريطاني وليم هارفي مكتشف الدورة الدموية الرئوية.
- رحل إلى مصر عام 1236م، بدعوة من السلطان الكامل عمر الأيوبي... ومازالت تعلو به الرتب حتى أصبح رئيساً لأطباء مصر، وطبيباً خاصاً للملك الظاهر بيبرس.
- كان غزير الإنتاج، ومن مؤلفاته وتصانيفه:
الشامل في الطب - المهذب في الكحل المجرّب - المختار في الأغذية - منافع الأعضاء - تفسير العلل وأسباب المرض - شرح القانون - شرح مسائل حنين بن إسحاق - شرح تقدمة المعرفة لأبقراط - شرح فصول أبقراط - الرسالة الكاملية في السيرة النبوية - مختصر في علوم الحديث.
- توفي في القاهرة عام (687هـ - 1288م).
- كان ابن النفيس واثقاً من آرائه، متمكناً من أقواله.. وهو القائل: «لو لم أعلم أن تصانيفي تبقى بعدي مدة عشرة آلاف سنة ما وضعتها».
